How Do You get an agent? How??

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

How Do You get an agent? How??

The process differs from person to person. But the one key factor  that everyone has in common is that they communicate their desire. When appropriate, you need to bring up the fact that you're looking for an agent. You might be at a casting call where they ask about your agent -- don't lie -- tell them you're in the process of looking for one and ask whom they recommend. Even then you need to check some more. The casting call person may have a bias on whomever they like. You need to be sure you're communicating with those around you because you never know who will be in a position to help you. Of course it helps if you have a great headshot and resume. You don't simply get an agent because you want one, and YOU think you are talented and marketable.

ACT LIKE AND LOOK LIKE YOU WANT TO BE THERE

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

ACT LIKE AND LOOK LIKE YOU WANT TO BE THERE>>.OK?/
It's at the core of why you become an actorYou want people to look at youYou want to be loved by millions of people. It's so Freudian, but it's so obvious, and, that being said, there's no way to explain what the feeling is like until you have it all the time. It's not just getting recognized. People, especially those that really matter want to know and want you to know that you have presented yourself properly for the role, the occasion, the moment...Don't be caught unprepared...don't even take the chance...truthfully, had you rather look 'too good' or 'not good enough'???
My mom was a cosmetologist all of her life...she would not even go out to the car unless she looked like, exactly like what she was, a professional that was IN THIS INDUSTRY!  DON'T TAKE ADVICE

LOOK LIKE YOU WANT AND NEED AN AGENT

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

LOOK LIKE YOU WANT AND NEED AN AGENT>>

Go for the gold in your personal presentation! It’s not the time for sloppy jeans, sweats, or hipster thrift shop clothes (unless that is your type). Dress with confidence like a movie star so that's how they remember you. (Ladies, wear make-up.) I recently met an actor with a"decent' headshot. She had nice hair, a beautiful face, and a movie star quality, but she arrived for the interview with no make-up and wearing dowdy clothes because her roommate had told her to go "clean,” i.e. unmade-up and casual. If I were a casting director, I would never call her again! She would have lost dozens of potential jobs from following that stupid misinformation! So, look fabulous! You are there to impress and show your future agent how you would look if they submitted you for a major role. Be camera-ready!

THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS..THE MESS.

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS..THE MESS.
When you take down your Christmas tree, always wrap the lights around the outside of a cardboard tube (try the tube from a roll of paper towels) and secure with masking tape. They’ll be easy to unwind next year, and you’ll never have another nightmarish day of untangling all the lights while the kids wait to decorate the tree.

"I remember when I was in school, the whole reason I started writing songs was because I was alone a lot of the time. HOW MUCH DO ACTORS ON A TV SERIES EARN????

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

HOW MUCH DO ACTORS ON A TV SERIES EARN????

Despite their comparatively unknown status outside of the show — which Time just declared the most popular in the world — the top Game of Thrones actors are earning impressive sums. Here are the five stars of the show that each make $500,000 per episode: Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)
While many stars can earn well over one million per episode. Normally there are about 22 episodes per season. So, figure that out WOW>>>

HOW MUCH DO NON-UNION ACTORS GET PAID FOR A COMMERCIAL?

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS

HOW MUCH DO NON-UNION ACTORS GET PAID FOR A COMMERCIAL?

Many commercials are non-union. In this case, they are either paid a buy-out (which means a one time fee) or a buy-out for a limited time with options for extensions.
In other cases, they are paid in structures similar to SAG, but without the extra's that have to be paid to SAG or possibly at lower rates.
It's my experience that actors should be treated fairly. I generally believe they should receive residuals if the advertiser continues to use their image to sell their product - that's appropriate. At the same time, the payments have to be looked at to make sure they're good business - they have to be in line with the cost of the production, the size of the media spending, and the profit the advertiser stands to reap.

Most non-union actors for commercials have an agent that will negotiate the pay. Talent plus an agency fee. Some pay $500 and up, in fact we did one today that paid that. It depends on a lot of stuff.

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

Never give up 'quote'
Jennifer Anniston>>

The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I've always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all. Jennifer Aniston

JUST ONE OF MANY HAPPY HOLLYWOOD MARRIAGES:

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

JUST ONE OF MANY HAPPY HOLLYWOOD MARRIAGES:

Denzel Washington and Paulette Pearson Washington
Like many other celebrity couples, Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta Pearson met on the job. In their case, work was filming the TV movie Wilma in 1977, about the legendary African-American athlete Wilma Rudolph. The relationship culminated with a wedding on June 25, 1983, and their family includes four children. Washington has starred in a variety of notable films over his impressive career, including American Gangster, Malcolm X, The Book of Eli, and the list goes on and on, maybe one
great movie each year.
Also, my favorite actor.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR:

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR:

Phillip Seymore Hoffman's partner of 14 years Mimi O'donnell shared this:
" I know I'm going to die young"

"He never said those words, but he lived his life as if time was precious."
After being sober for well over a decade, O'Donnell says Hoffman was faced with a lot of trials all at once, which led to him returning to drugs and ultimately dying from a heroin overdose in early February 2014 at the age of 46.

EVER WONDER WHERE WE BEGIN THE CHRISTMAS TREE TRADITION????

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS
EVER WONDER WHERE WE BEGIN THE CHRISTMAS TREE TRADITION????

Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition as we now know it in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if wood was scarce.

CHRISTMAS IN THE MIDDLE EAST>.

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS;

CHRISTMAS IN THE MIDDLE EAST>.

A COMMENT FROM A JORDANIAN FAMILY.

A few hours drive away from Bethlehem, in the Jordanian capital of Amman, a Christian family prepares to celebrate Christmas Day.
“The one thing that makes us feel more special is that here in Jordan at this time of year is the fact that we are so close to the area where Jesus was born,” Serene Qushair tells SBS.
“On Christmas Eve, [we usually] turn on the television and watch the celebration in Bethlehem.
“[Although we are close in geography], it’s difficult to go to Bethlehem these days because of the occupation. So watching the service on television is very touching. It brings back the special meaning of the occasion.”
Note: Jordan is 92% Muslim, but still honors Christmas, both Christians and Muslims, It's a holiday.

Duties & Responsibilities of Voice Actors

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

Duties & Responsibilities of Voice Actors
Scripts reveal a writer's portrayal of characters and their mannerisms. A voice actor reads and interprets a script to absorb the idea envisioned by the writer. He works under the instruction of a director to understand the reactions and requirements of each character in a script, and how best to bring out the writer's vision.
But you know what? You still have to be an actor and "not" just having a great voice.

RECENT POLL "THE MOST OVERATED ACTOR

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS;

RECENT POLL "THE MOST OVERATED ACTOR

For many years, this guy,,,,was considered one of the most versatile actors of his day. He has been nominated for numerous awards, including three Academy Awards and ten Golden Globes. In the last few years, however, he has hit a real standstill career-wise. As of late, most of his films have performed poorly at the box office and have received lackluster reviews. In spite of this, however, he still somehow manages to command multi-million dollar paychecks.>>Mr. Johnny Depp<<<
Surprised me too. I think he's great.

ACTORS CAN HAVE FUN TOO>>>>

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

ACTORS CAN HAVE FUN TOO>>>>

If it’s not fun, why are we doing it?
The art of acting is based in play. And the science of play is quantifiable. When you start to play more, that which you want (in your life and your work) starts to show up. You get freed up to the moment. There is no attachment to end results. There is little self-criticism or self-sabotage. You are fully expressed. Science calls it “the flow.” You follow your instincts. Stop overthinking things and live more moment-to-moment.

STUDYING THE CHARACTER;

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

STUDYING THE CHARACTER;
DON'T GET ALL TAKEN UP WITH YOURSELF:

No studying>>>This is not related to acting school. It's strictly about a lack of concern and understanding of the character they are supposed to play. Improvisation is fine but when it goes against the very defining traits of said character, it just shows a lack of interest. On the other hand, sticking to a script to the letter makes for a lackluster performance. Don't concentrate too much on word for word acting.
The prima donnas>>>This is an on-set or on-stage problem, yet it somehow manages to spill into the production itself. A film or play is a team effort and, while in the final result an actor may take the spotlight, "all taken up with how great they are" and  doing so off-camera leads to a lot of issues that affect production. Bad acting may have very little to do with the off-camera attitude, yet this sort of behaviour takes its toll on the final product. Best to avoid this before filming even begins>
