Finding your Path

There are very few obstacles between you and any given goal. If you have a clear goal, you will find a clear path. Don't ask someone else what you should do, ask yourself. 'You' have all the answers. They are right there. Pause, reflect and think. And don't sell yourself short. You don't have to look like someone else. You are just fine.

 

Start by Learning What you are Doing!

Battles are always won at the start, so start at the beginning. Don't get lost in the end game, the agent, the stardom, the money, the bookings, the awards etc...Start by learning what you are doing, and taking every opportunity that is given to you to act for it's own sake, in class, maybe a play. When you do that consistently the film/TV business will reveal itself.

We, at the agency know this to be true. We see it happen all the time.

Plus there are few places better than Atlanta to begin your quest.

More Than Just "HOLLYWOOD"

Not everything about film is "HOLLYWOOD". What we mean by this is, that even in the glare of bright lights and celebrity mania, the fact is that the film industry extends far beyond "HOLLYWOOD". Film/tv production provides jobs for literally thousands of people involved in the making, producing and marketing. We have a tendancy to forget it's far more than the Oscars or walking down the red carpet. Opportunities are created to join large companies, working for charities, or even starting your own thing. The film industry covers not only feature films, but short films, documentaries, tv shows, commercials, advertising films, PR firms, accountants, attorneys, writers, crew members, etc.. There are many, many aspects for those that actually prepare themselves for success. Do that, or get run over by those that do.

  The motion picture/TV industry today is the greatest medium of expression the world has ever known. Capable of giving life to basically all ideas.

    Knowing how to get a career started in film/TV and taking the proper steps and measures is going to take you a long way a lot faster. You are going to need training, a good agent, and be able to self-promote. Not one of these, BUT ALL THREE.

    Try to do it right the first time.
