'IT MUST BE NICE...RIGHT'?

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:
'IT MUST BE NICE...RIGHT'?

Entertainer and business mogul Steve Harvey and his wife, Marjorie Harvey, purchased the gated, 17-acre private estate overlooking the Chattahoochee River at 4110 Paces Ferry Road, which includes a nearly 35,000-square-foot French Provincial-style home, according to Fulton County property records. The Harveys purchased the home for $15 million on May 26 from David R. Turner and Jennifer Turner, who bought it from Atlanta media mogul Tyler Perry in 2017. It was Perry who built the current home.

'INTRANSIGENCE'

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

'INTRANSIGENCE'

The definition of intransigent is someone stubborn or unwilling to change his/her views.
An example of someone who would be described as intransigent is a person who is not going to change his mind about an issue, no matter what.

UPDATE ON 'AMERICAS GOT TALENT' AND GABRIELLE UNION'S DEPARTURE

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

UPDATE ON 'AMERICAS GOT TALENT'
AND GABRIELLE UNION'S DEPARTURE.

NBC, Fremantle and Syco on Wednesday morning issued a statement about the results from an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the firing of former America’s Got Talent judge Gabrielle Union. The investigation was originally expected to wrap by end of January.
“Through the investigation process, it has been revealed that no one associated with the show made any insensitive or derogatory remarks about Ms. Union’s appearance, and that neither race nor gender was a contributing factor in the advancement or elimination of contestants at any time,” the statement said. “The investigation has shown that the concerns raised by Ms. Union had no bearing on the decision not to exercise the option on her contract.”

THE FILM INDUSTRY IN ATLANTA, LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

THE FILM INDUSTRY IN ATLANTA, LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK
HAS TAKEN A FININCIAL BEATING DUE TO COVID 19.

When movie contracts are signed, sealed and delivered they each have a starting date and an anticipated
completion date. Many, if not all of the professionals working on those projects have other such projects
in the wings or scheduled to begin soon after 'this' particular project has been completed. However the
delay, postponement, pause etc. has affected those signed contracts, and nationwide hundreds of millions
of dollars have been lost already. Those without a treasure chest to dip into are hurt the most. Some may
not survive. Of course we all hope that is limited. Georgia, being less affected by the virus and politics than
LA and NY will begin getting back on course sooner, and we shall all wait with baited breath for the big

ON THIS DAY...JUNE THE 8TH, 1968 IN HISTORY

WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

IN MY OPINION:

ON THIS DAY...JUNE THE 8TH, 1968 IN HISTORY>>>

James Earl Ray, suspect in Martin Luther King, Jr. assassination, is arrested

James Earl Ray, an escaped American convict, is arrested in London, England, and charged with the assassination of African American civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.
On April 4, 1968, in Memphis, King was fatally wounded by a sniper’s bullet while standing on the balcony outside his second-story room at the Motel Lorraine. That evening, a Remington .30-06 hunting rifle was found on the sidewalk beside a rooming house one block from the Lorraine Motel. During the next several weeks, the rifle, eyewitness reports, and fingerprints on the weapon all implicated a single suspect: escaped convict James Earl Ray. A two-bit criminal, Ray escaped a Missouri prison in April 1967 while serving a sentence for a holdup. In May 1968, a massive manhunt for Ray began. The FBI eventually determined that he had obtained a Canadian passport under a false identity, which at the time was relatively easy.
On June 8, Scotland Yard investigators arrested Ray at a London airport. Ray was trying to fly to Belgium, with the eventual goal, he later admitted, of reaching Rhodesia. Rhodesia (now called Zimbabwe) was at the time ruled by an oppressive and internationally condemned white minority government. Extradited to the United States, Ray stood before a Memphis judge in March 1969 and pleaded guilty to King’s murder in order to avoid the electric chair. He was sentenced to 99 years in prison.

DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE!

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

REPOST...I LIKE IT:
So you have an audition and you feel very confident. DON'T make the big time mistake that you are going to be the only one there OR that you are surely to get the booking because you are so cute and talented. And just how do you know that? Because your family and friends tell you so, that's why. I can promise you that some of your competitors have 'great photos' and an extensive resume for acting, lots of training -quality training- and not some 'modeling school'. Places where you had to audition just to get in the class. And they've been working. Some my be SAG/AFTRA or SAG eligible, but many are going to be good. Very, very good.
Being self absorbed with 'yourself', that can and most of the time will, cost you jobs and your career. Acting is not as simple as one my think, or else you would not have Undergrads, Master's, even PhD's on the art and the craft.
Don't be foolish. Preparation cures a lot of ills.

GEORGIA IS ON THE WAY BACK!

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

GEORGIA IS ON THE WAY BACK!
LEE THOMAS DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF GEORGIA FILM, MUSIC AND DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT
CERTAINLY BELIEVES SO1

We’re talking to production companies and studios all the time. … (The white paper) will set the tone for how things will go in the next couple, three months,” Thomas said. “We are in a good place in Georgia in that we’re opening sooner than New York and L.A. We’re seeing some projects that were going to New York or L.A. that are actually coming here. We do think things will get going here. We have projects that will be coming here in mid-June with pre-production that would start shooting in July.”
When the COVID-19 outbreak hit Georgia, 20 productions voluntarily shut down.
“’MacGyver’ (was) on their 11th episode and will tack on the 12th one when things pick up. Some projects hadn’t started yet. Others, like Netflix’s new movie (‘Red Notice’) with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, were in the middle of shooting,” Thomas said, adding all of those productions will return to Georgia once they believe it is safe to resume filming.
Once the pandemic began, the office created COVID-19 resources to help those affected by the disease. Thomas said she does not know how much money companies have lost since the pandemic but expects to have figures within the next two months.
