STUDYING THE CHARACTER;

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

STUDYING THE CHARACTER;
DON'T GET ALL TAKEN UP WITH YOURSELF:

 No studying>>>This is not related to acting school. It's strictly about a lack of concern and understanding of the character they are supposed to play. Improvisation is fine but when it goes against the very defining traits of said character, it just shows a lack of interest. On the other hand, sticking to a script to the letter makes for a lackluster performance. Don't concentrate too much on word for word acting.
The prima donnas>>>This is an on-set or on-stage problem, yet it somehow manages to spill into the production itself. A film or play is a team effort and, while in the final result an actor may take the spotlight, "all taken up with how great they are" and  doing so off-camera leads to a lot of issues that affect production. Bad acting may have very little to do with the off-camera attitude, yet this sort of behaviour takes its toll on the final product. Best to avoid this before filming even begins>
