ATLANTA — Atlanta media mogul Tyler Perry has donated a thousand $50 gift cards for Atlanta Police to pass out in the community, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said Thursday.
Officers are passing out the cards in Zone 3 near the Wendy’s on University Ave. where Rayshard Brooks was killed.
"It's an opportunity to make one-on-one connections and spread a little joy," Bottoms said.

ATLANTA — Tyler Perry has offered to pay the funeral expenses for an 8-year-old girl who was fatally shot in Atlanta over the weekend, a representative for the actor and filmmaker confirmed Wednesday.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL? BACK SOON? DIFFERENT???

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

COLLEGE FOOTBALL? BACK SOON? DIFFERENT???
EITHER WAY I'M READY!!!

It’s all happening at once with college football. The sport’s original sins have been thrown into a pot with new ingredients from 2020. All of the questions about restarting pro sports amid a global pandemic, a nationwide reckoning with systemic racism and police brutality, and a barren economic landscape apply to college football as well. But in every instance, college football players will receive less.
They will receive less institutional protection and safety measures to shield them from the coronavirus. They will have less of a platform to make their voices heard, and in some cases they will use those voices to protest against their own coaches. And they will get nothing in the way of salary or endorsements, as they have always gotten nothing.

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

READY FOR SOME HOLLYWOOD GOSSIP? THIS IS A GOOD ONE!

Both Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are shutting down singer August Alsina's claim that he had an extramarital affair with Jada – and that Will gave their relationship his "blessing." In a new interview with Angela Yee of "The Breakfast Club," which was posted on his YouTube channel, August claimed that he "really loved" the "Girls Trip" star and "devoted" himself to their alleged relationship with for "years of [his] life." In response, Jada's rep told TMZ and Page Six in statements that August's allegations were "absolutely not true," and a spokesperson for Will told The Sun his claims were "wrong."
