HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOR AN AUDITION;

This is exactly what perplexes most actors. The audition is actually
much different than actually doing the job. Many times you get very
little practice time, or even research time, at least quality research.
So, what do you do? Just wing it? Not really, spend some time on
'the actual scene. What is happening? Where do you fit it? Why do
you actually need to be there. "SOLVE THE SCENE". And then and
only then go in prepared. Remember there is no set way that a part
or lines has to be delivered. Have a few, two or three different scenarios
all set up, with each one being a little different that the other.
