THE TRUTH ABOUT BEING CAST IN A COMMERCIAL, OR A FILM

IN MY OPINION:
WILLIAM REYNOLDS:

THE TRUTH ABOUT BEING CAST IN A COMMERCIAL, OR
A FILM:

When an agency is contacted by a 'POTENTIAL CLIENT", about booking (hiring) a 'professional talent for a commercial { that can and do pay just as much as a movie role}  casting personnel
DO NOT submit those that show a lot of potential for doing the job, but those are are already 'trained',, 'great photos'.. and 'responsible' are those that are UP FOR THE JOB and not those that have
listened to those telling them how great they are, or those with dinky resumes' giving them advice on how to be just like them. Agents and Casting Directors work on commissions, which they
WILL NEVER GET, submitting those that show a lot of potential, but those that have taken that potential to the next level. Just like any other business in the world. Business for example,
does not look for CEO's or MANAGERS that were great students in High School, but those that took that skill or gift to the next level, exactly like the one that is hiring them. A good High School
play, or College Play is not quite the same as CAPITAN AMERICA, OR A NATIONAL TV COMMERCIAL.
I know that I write about this same subject perhaps too often, but again and again someone will come into our offices that have made maybe a total of a couple of hundred dollars in their entire
career with questionable training and so so photos that think they need an agent. REALLY? NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Our agency pays for REAL TRAINING...GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER...ALMOST
EVERYTHING NEEDED, AND SOME (NOT MANY) WANT MORE.,, LITTLE OR NO EFFORT REQUIRED, JUST YOUR GOOD LOOKS:: YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE ATTRACTIVE TO BE A CEO DO
YOU? JUST QUALIFIED. WAKE UP AND DO WHAT YOU WERE MEANT TO DO, AND IT'S NOT 'DREAMING'.
