Why Film in Atlanta?

WHY IS ATLANTA SUCH A GOOD PLACE TO SHOOT A MOVIE;

Well there are a lot of reasons.

Right to work state,,,tax breaks,,,quality resources, such as (finally) good crews available, equipment, studio space, etc.

Quality actors with quality training available, and overall just a great city, not only to work in, shoot in but live as well.

Even though the State in a non-union right to work state, SAG/AFTRA is still very supportive and strong. Many professionals

are moving here, or at the minimum spending a lot of time here, splitting time between NY and LA.

The local politicians have taken notice to the importance the film industry plays in the local economy. I don't think that 'right now' an actor or beginning actor has to flee to LA to get their start. In fact quite the opposite. They can begin or continue their film career right here in the State of Georgia. If you get out much you have probably ran into or seen someone from the

movies. Or to a lesser extent had to take a detour on the way to work because the streets were blocked off while some Vampires or Zombies were given the right to pass.

Life in the big city, right?
