Note to Kid Actors

To kids, and young people in general that think they want to act or model. My advice. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP.  Youngsters today are very privy as to how to do research on agencies for their parents. At least how to assist. BE AWARE!
Don't be all impressed by those agencies that absolutely 'must have' your child with their company. They call and call wanting them. And then of course try to sell you some modeling classes that they really don't need for a couple of thousand dollars (if you're lucky). Look them up on the Better Business Bureau, check their reviews. Who are they? How long have they been in business? Are their only complaints from those that were rejected? These are important questions that need to be addressed.
If possible both parents need to be in attendance when meeting with an agency And remember, a child model, or actor,  DOES NOT WORK EVERYDAY, OR GO ON AUDITIONS EVERYDAY. So getting your child, or teen, started is not going to take much time away from the parents normal day to day responsibilities or duties. Try to show a little patience. There is NO SPECIAL LOOK that all clients are looking for. It changes day to day. Photos have to be kept current because kids change so much so quickly.
JUST GIVE THEM THE CHANCE, THE OPPORTUNITY.
